"Faraway" by Will Collante

Today I want to share an interesting track that landed in my SubmitHub inbox. It’s called “Faraway” by Will Collante.

What immediately caught my ear was the keyboard sound. I rarely get tracks with this kind of tone. At first it felt a bit plasticky and too upfront, but then I realized I actually loved it. It sets a very specific mood — a light sadness and melancholy, but with a hint of hope woven in. Thanks to the expressive playing, the whole track feels like it’s breathing, like a cold winter wind howling outside. I can totally imagine this piece fitting perfectly into a dramatic film scene — it would blend beautifully with the visuals.

The piano performance is wrapped in rich ambient textures with warm tones, which is a pretty popular approach right now. It gives each note its own little afterglow, releasing its energy and letting the listener feel the warmth and emotion in every keystroke.

I genuinely think this track belongs in any playlist that leans into drama and storytelling — and it’s definitely going into mine.
