Simple and emotional – that's the key! You know, people often tell me that popular music is often surprisingly simple. No crazy intricate riffs or complex musical techniques. Just a theme, some emotions, and a relatable situation. I remember listening to Ludovico Einaudi's track from "The Intouchables" and being amazed at how simple melodies could become so famous.

Okay, maybe these melodies get their fame partly because they're used in movies. But that doesn't change the underlying point. Now, when I listen to music, I'm not just looking for beauty and emotion, but also for that simplicity in the performance and melody. And you know what? I'm finding so much music that's both simple and incredibly captivating these days.

It's got this simple melody and theme, but it so beautifully captures the everyday life in a big city, with its less fortunate neighborhoods, unassuming buildings, and ordinary people just living at their own pace, seizing every chance to make things better.
